Whether we live a life full of laughter, or negotiate stress on a daily basis, our foreheads inevitably show the signs of our lifestyle and aging. The goal of a forehead lift is to restore the position of the eyebrows on the face, that can fall down with aging, and to remove the frown lines between the eyebrows.
This face surgical procedure uses an incision on the scalp, or hairline, to lift the forehead skin off the bone and replace it in a higher position. The muscles that form the frown lines are removed during the procedure. With the advent of Botox, which treats frown lines so effectively, brow lifts are preformed much less often that they use to be but we still offer this procedure in extreme cases. A forehead lift is often performed in combination with a facelift and/or eyelid surgery.
